Prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statement about "employing foreign physicians" was interpreted by TTB Central Council as "distrusting his own citizens and physicians".

Obligatory service appointments cannot be done...
Turkish Medical Association announced that the Ministry of Health cannot take any action until the law which forms the basis of the notice regarding obligatory service -which has been put on hold by the State Council- is evaluated by the Constitutional Court.

TTB Delegation that was in Pakistan between November 14-25, 2005 within the scope of the TTB - Red Crescent Cooperation Protocol and Pakistan Earthquake relief efforts, completed its report on the operations that were conducted.

We Take Control of the Matter!
TTB Central Council has demanded that the clause in the TTB law draft which relates the minimum wage to the Budget Application Instructions, the arrangement which allows the receivables of the hospitals to be deleted, and the "transformation in health program" which is responsible for all these all be taken back.

IMPLEMENTATION OF OBLIGATORY SERVICE STOPPED...
About the Mandatory Work (Obligatory Service) Program which has been put into action once again by law no. 5371, and the notice about State Service Obligation given by the Board of Ministers in order to present this program; TTB has gone to court, claiming that they are in contradiction with the Constitution.
