Turkish Medical Association (TTB) is aware that Turkey’s problems, particularly ones in the field of health can be overcome through joint struggle of all labourers. From this standpoint, it calls on the chambers of medicine in Marmara region to participate in TTB cortege that will take place at Taksim Square on May 1, and the others to unite the activities in their regions. |

After the statement by Minister of Healt saying that "we abolish the associations through a law", Diyarbakır Regional Manager of Health Namık Kemal Kubat's comments appeared in local media. He sait that "...I will came with my gun tomorrow and I am a craven person if I will not fire it" regarding the group who has made a press statement against closing down of Diyarbakır Thoracic Diseases Hospital.

The unions, associations and professional organizations representing health services workers arranged a joint press conference on March 24, 2010 regarding the draft law on State Hospitals Associations which has been fully discussed in TBMM (Turkish Grand National Assembly) Plan and Budget Committee. They pointed out the negative situations that the law will cause, emphasized direct effects of the law on whole society when it will come into force and called the society for “State of Emergency” at the press conference which was held at Turkish Medical Association (TTB) Central Council building.
